STAR – Steps To Achieve Results – is a response to the reality that technology alone is an incomplete solution. The people side requires as much or more attention as the system architecture and design.
Major systems changes traditionally have been unwieldy and painful. Traditional implementation approaches reflect the limits of older technologies, as well as the traditional system development life cycle with which they have been associated. The capability of a framework-based solution like CS-FAST both allows and demands an equally innovative and complementary implementation approach. STAR's focus is the constellation of personnel and organizational challenges that can impede system implementation. Specifically designed to optimize CS-FAST's "perfect fit" capability, STAR lights the way to unprecedented levels of user involvement, rapid application configuration, and project manageability.
STAR begins by applying our methodology to document and understand each client’s business processes and functional requirements. As part of this process, workflow and process improvements are identified and documented. STAR configuration worksheets are used to identify any changes that are required to the FAST-based solution. Changes are made online by users or with the FAST toolset. The system is then regenerated, and users are able to review a “live” system to validate the design, to verify that requirements are met, and to test functionality.
STAR addresses needs associated with:
requirements analysis and configuration
business process reengineering
workflow integration
documentation
training materials and delivery
project communications
project management
